“HOW THE CHILDREN STOPPED THE WAR”
The book tells us the episodes from the life of a small family in Syria during peace and war. It describes how a father brings up his motherless, little children – a brother and a sister –Rakan and Fatima, how the members of the family love one another, their home, their nature, animals, compatriots. At the same time how they love working, studying, playing, music, dancing, helping others.
In the tale “How the Children Stopped the War” the author uses a simple, easily understood language, touching upon global issues, such as preserving the nature, dedication to kindness, love for both, their own people and generally man, despite nationality and religion, happy cohabitation and getting rid of the terror of war all over the world.
The book is aimed for junior and upper school age children.
“ملخَص للكتاب “كيف أوقف الأطفال الحرب”
تحكي القصَة الأنباء من حياة عائلية صغيرة في ظروف سلمية وحربية، كيف يربّي الأب ابنه وبنته الصغيرين دون أمّهما، كيف يحبّ أفراد العائلة بعضهم البعض وكيف يحبّون بيتهم وفناء الدار والحيّ وطبيعة بلادهم والحيوانات وأهل بلادهم، كيف يحبّون العمل والدراسة واللعب والموسيقى والرقص ومدّ يد العون لغيرهم.
في القصّة “كيف أوقف الأطفال الحرب” يحكي المؤلّف بلغة بسيطة واضحة القضايا العالمية مثل حماية الطبيعة والبيئة وبذل الجهود من أجل الخير وحبّ أهل بلادهم وبصفة عامّة، حبّ الإنسان رغم جنسيته ودينه للتعايش السعيد في العالم وتجنّب أهوال الحرب. الكتاب مخصّص لقرّاء من تلاميذ المدارس الابتدائية والثانوية.
